    Death cover

    You can claim for the death of a loved one who had life cover or a savings policy with Sanlam.

    Funeral cover

    If you’ve taken out a standalone Funeral cover policy with Sanlam or Sanlam Indie.

    Funeral benefit

    Submit a claim if you have Life Cover policy with a Funeral benefit.

    Disability/accident cover

    Cover for the inability to do your occupation due to an illness or injury.

    Income protection cover

    Disability and/or accident benefits could provide cover for the inability to do your occupation due to an illness or injury.

    Sickness benefit cover

    Sickness benefits cover you for being booked off on sick leave by a medical doctor.

    One medical plan

    You can claim for One Medical Plan benefits after being discharged from hospital, or if you have been in the hospital for three days or more.

    Severe illness cover

    Severe Illness/Dread Disease/Child Illness and Injury benefits cover a variety of illnesses, impairments and injuries.

    More about claims

    1. We will assess your claim, request any additional information if required, and let you know of the outcome within 10 working days. Track the progress of your claim within 24 hours by logging onto Sanlam online going to Transact in the top navigation and selecting Service requests. We will also send you messages either via SMS or email updating you on the status of your claim.

    2. Depending on your claim type, your window to submit your claim could range from 30 days up to six months. In any case, we strongly recommend submitting your claim as soon as possible to avoid any delays in processing your claim.
