A motivation letter, written in your own words, that answer the following questions: Describe what an actuary does? Why do you want to study actuarial science? Why do you believe you have what it takes to become an actuary? Why should Sanlam choose you to be a bursary holder? If you are not successful at becoming an actuary, what other career paths are you considering?


Matric student requirements
Academic result with: Final Grade 11 results Grade 12 mid-year results NBT results
An above 90% score in Mathematics and an overall A aggregate
Comprehensive CV focussing on academics, extra-mural activities and leadership skills
A motivation letter, written in your own words, that answer the following questions: Describe what an actuary does? Why do you want to study actuarial science? Why do you believe you have what it takes to become an actuary? Why should Sanlam choose you to be a bursary holder? If you are not successful at becoming an actuary, what other career paths are you considering?
How to apply
Note: You can apply from the 1st of April to the 30th of June every year
We only accept online applications submitted with the required documentation. Bursaries are awarded on merit and in accordance with Sanlam’s employment equity plan.
