Phishing

Phishing is when you’re contacted unexpectedly and asked for personal information, to take an action, open an attachment or click on a link. To protect you and your data:

  • Know you can be contacted on email, WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook, LinkedIn or a phone call

  • Always think before you respond

  • Never give out personal information including user IDs and passwords

How to spot a fake or phishing email

Unsafe links can let hackers in. Phishing preys on emotions, clouding judgment. Pause for 10 seconds, think before you click. Watch out for fake emails. Remember, the next email you receive could be FAKE.
